Aloe
The term “lactobacillus” refers to all bacteria that produce lactic acid using carbohydrates such as glucose or lactose. In other words, it refers to intestinal bacteria that use glucose as their energy source to produce a substantial amount of lactic acid (50% or more) and generate byproducts that are not harmful to the body, such as skatole, phenol, amine or ammonia, but rather generate those that are beneficial, such as those that prevent putrification. Probiotics in lactobacillus are well known in the medical profession to suppress intestinal bacteria, reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood, strengthen the immune system and fight cancer. It is a health food product that is particularly beneficial for the intestines, such as for preventing constipation. (Healthy intestines play an important part in keeping the skin trouble-free.)
